After a whirlwind of planning and preparation during your wedding engagement period, the big day is finally here! You’ve spent months making vendor selections, style choices, venue arrangements etc. and now you want to make sure everything falls seamlessly into place. But before you can take the fateful walk, there are still a few last minute things to do, to pack and to remember.
In a busy city like Chicago, it’s important to account for just about anything that could go wrong. Stay one step ahead of any wedding day mishaps and make sure you’ve covered every last detail with this Wedding Day Survival Checklist.
Your glam squad will likely come armed with all the essential tools to pamper you to perfection. Once they leave, however, you want to make sure you’re fully prepared to maintain that fresh look all day long. Make sure someone is familiar with the bustling, sash tying and any other dress-finishing details. Have a member of your bridal party keep these items handy to keep you flawlessly primped long into your reception.

Your wedding will have a host of different vendors from all over the city, each with their own scheduling, responsibilities and needs the day-of. Have someone check in with each of them to ensure everyone is on track and where they are supposed to be. Once the day is underway, you may not have a chance to readily communicate with certain vendors. Make sure you’re prepared with any and all information you may need to give them before everything gets started.

Once the party is over, there are certain things you’ll need taken from the venue or brought to you before leaving for the night. Ensure the most significant aspects are fully accounted for in advance. Designate these responsibilities to your maid of honor/best man, parents or another trusted party so that all you have to do is relax and relish in your big day!
